Publication Ethics

The International Journal of STEM Research (IJSTEMR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines to ensure integrity, transparency, and quality in scholarly publishing.

1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited. Authors should present accurate data and be prepared to provide raw data if requested. Any conflicts of interest must be clearly disclosed. All authors listed must have made significant contributions to the research.

2. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the academic merit and relevance of the manuscript. They must evaluate submissions without regard to authors’ race, gender, institutional affiliation, or nationality. Editors must ensure confidentiality throughout the review process and must not use unpublished materials for personal research. Any conflicts of interest must be disclosed and managed appropriately.

3. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts. They should maintain confidentiality and must not use the information obtained during the review process for personal advantage. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited and report any suspected ethical issues, including plagiarism or data fabrication. Reviewers must decline review assignments if there is a conflict of interest.

4. Plagiarism and Misconduct

IJSTEMR has a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and other forms of academic misconduct. All submitted manuscripts may be checked using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts found to violate ethical standards will be rejected or retracted if already published.

5. Conflicts of Interest

All parties involved in the publication process (authors, editors, and reviewers) must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of the manuscript.
